Happy Birthday! January Celebration Dates for A-As and HOF Coaches

A high this month of eight All-Americans were born on January 7th followed by seven on the 26th. Kansas, Kentucky and Notre Dame contributed the most A-As born in January with five apiece. Marquette (Dwayne Wade and Sam Worthen on 17th) and the Fighting Irish (David Rivers and Dick Rosenthal on 20th) each have two All-Americans born on the same day this month. Kenny Sailors, who passed away five years before celebrating his 100th birthday this month, is one of three former Wyoming A-As born in January.
