  • He coached his alma mater to a 24-3 record in 1946-47, which was the same season he also earned NBL Most Valuable Player honors (averaged 14.3 points in 43 regular-season and playoff games with the Rochester Royals)
  • Elected to Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in 1969.
