Gene Keady
- Named national coach of the year by all of the major awards in 1996, USBWA in 1984, NABC in 2000, and co-coach of the year (with Nolan Richardson) by the NABC in 1994
- Guided three Purdue teams to NIT semifinal round--1981 (3rd), 1982 (2nd) and 1993 (4th)
- Won Ohio Valley Conference Tournament with Western Kentucky in 1980
- Purdue's all-time winningest coach
- Member of National Junior College Basketball Hall of Fame (as player and coach). Compiled a 187-48 record (.796) in eight seasons at Hutchinson (KS) Community College
- Assistant coach at Arkansas under Eddie Sutton for four seasons from 1974-75 through 1977-78, with the NBA's Toronto Raptors under Sam Mitchell for one season in 2005-06, and at St. John's under Steve Lavin for one season in 2010-11
- Selected by the Pittsburgh Steelers as a back in the 19th round of 1958 NFL draft
