Calipari Became Only Coach to Win National COY Award With Three Schools

Eddie Sutton was the only coach in the 20th Century to earn national coach of the year acclaim for two schools (Arkansas and Kentucky). This season, John Calipari capitalized on a golden opportunity with UK to become the only individual to capture national coach of the year awards with three different universities. Meanwhile, he was joined by Virginia's Tony Bennett as one of the following five mentors with multiple schools to win national COY honor from one of the five major awards:
