Transfer Protocol: Active Head Coaches Who Switched DI Schools as Players

If Louisville advances to Sweet 16 for the first time since 2015, let alone Final Four for first time since capturing NCAA crown in 2013, it will be because of overhauling roster via transfer route (adding Kansas' Flory Bidunga, Southern California's Gabe Dynes, Iowa's Alvaro Folgueiras, Arkansas' Karter Knox, Dayton's De'Shayne Montgomery and Oregon's Jackson Shelstad). Did Cardinals coach Pat Kelsey, a Division I transfer player in the mid-1990s (from Wyoming to Xavier), have more relatability than most bench bosses to players switching schools having been one himself? Meanwhile, fellow transfer player Mark Pope is taking heat as Kentucky's mentor after failing to attract transfers anywhere close to what Kelsey achieved.
