In the seeding era, Missouri became the 10th school to promptly revive its program and participate in the NCAA Tournament within five years after going winless in a power conference (0-18 in SEC just a year ago before losing to Drake in opening round. Only one year removed from winless league campaign, Mizzou didn't come close to Iowa State's feat of reaching Sweet 16 in 2022 after going winless in Big 12 Conference the previous season.
