For whatever reason, there is an accident-gawking infatuation with Southern (La.) slaughtering obscure Champion Baptist (Ark.), 116-12. On the other hand, standing out among small-school triumphs this season for Metro State (Colo.) and Nova Southeastern (Fla.) against NCAA Division I universities were their double-digit margins of victory. Nova whipped Florida International by 18 points while Metro handily beat Canisius (14) and Fairleigh Dickinson (11). However, FDU, flogged by Montclair (N.J.)
