Some people talk a good game while others actually play a good game. The recent passing of former La Salle All-American Michael Brooks brought to mind the Explorers' impact among the premium players in the exclusive 4,000 Club. Atop the well-done list in this distinguished NCAA Division I group amassing at least 4,000 career points and rebounds are Tom Gola, a terrific scorer/rebounder for La Salle ranking 11th among premier players in history by CollegeHoopedia.com, and Lionel Simmons.
